Full song with 5150 preamp out with dummy load + s-preshigh impulse (metalfoundry)

I dont get what you mean by preamp out with dummy load (im new) but sounds amazing! you got vocals laid out for the song?

Loving that opening riff mate, pure evil!:Smokedev:
Would like to hear more riffage in the song like that, sounded a bit generic in the middle for me, but sounds awesome production wise for what youve got.
More of the Morbid Angel sounding stuff please. :kickass:

You will definetly get some more "Morbid Angel" -style stuff i'll promise that. Also some mental damaged "what the fuc.." riffs will be jointed, this will be on my bands forthcoming album that will be kept in silence but i'll let you sneak peek these demo versions for sure as they are made ready ^^ i have a very very inspirated feel about putting up a big variety of different styles keeping it still production wise and all. Thrilled to see what it will be. :dopey:

Great song, sounds evil as fuck and has a lovely chorus. I loved those toms. Which were they? (and what verb?)

Thanks hombre!

Metalfoundry stock toms
8x12 ludwig silverparkle (racktom 1)
10x13 sonor thomas haake custom designer series 2 (racktom 2)
10x14 sonor thomas haake custom designer series 2 (racktom 3)
13x16 DW collector series (floortom)

EDIT: and offcourse EQ and compressor on the tom master, Rcomp.

all toms has a plate for each one and they are sent to tom master track with limiter (event horizon) and there is Magnus Ambient reverb (definition of a CPU eater. :D)

Dude - this sounds amazing. Are those really the Metal Foundry kick and snare? Details please... I've never been able to get MF to sound so slick.

They sure are! The Kick and Snare is quite complicated as they really have a lot going on.

Kicks are both 18x22 Tomas Haake Custom designer series 2, both are pitched up 0:01.0 (this is just a taste thing, tightens the act a bit)

Kick is basically killed at 200-900hz. -15db notch there. hehe. and boosted around 80, 2k, 5k, 9k, and 10k~ cut from somewhere 40hz out.. and Rcomp AFTER the EQ with -6.0 treshold attack 27.1 release 190. Ratio is 1.5

Snare is on 4 channel, fist is almost raw, and all fucksounds isolated, then it is send to another channel that is more compressed, then it's send from there to another that is more compressed, and clipped, and then to another that is compressed the fuck out, and plate verb there and ambience verb.

Kick and snare is both send to one track that has limiter. Then it is send to a track that controls the whole drums.... this really is something that you just gotta figure out and fool around yourself.. my way is propably the most fucking stupidiest and too complicated. Joeymusicguy and ERMZ and all the best dudes has said pretty much the things i have done then afterwards... just fool around. Hope this helped a bit though :D

That evil riff is fucking tits!!!

I know presets are a no-no on this forum but any chance you could share your 5150 settings? I've just got a hold of a block letter 5150 and it sounds very resonant and 'crumbly' tone with my marshall cab just want to see if I can get a tone like this or if it needs retubing or something.

sounds very solid!
no samples on kick and snare? damn me, never got to get them kicks sound like that

not a fan of the toms though

No samples on the drums yeah. Just kill the 300-800 area and compress slightly and send to a limiter (like eventhorizon) with snare. Boost the smack and the ball, cut to fit your head! :)

TOMS i don't like either, they are spitted on the mix, i gotta teach 'em some respect and learn to smack.

Marshall cabs tend to lack low end and aren't too solid on overall, but getting a nice tone is a bitch. You do a good and firm sound on the rehearsal room and the gig sound is a malevolent shitsteak. Fuck that bitch amp for treating you as a cockmunch. But you are a smart dude and tell the amp to suck ya and pull all the knobs to 5. Then reduce the pre gain to the point that you think it starts to lack something, then add ½ or one step. Treat LOW as you'd think how much you wanna give the BASS a room there. Resonance is the PUNCH area. I keep middle all the time at 0 not at all, it just adds that cardboard effect for me. high is the sizzle in your sound and the presence gets the sharpness. post gain is best at 3 opens perfectly all.

but my preset after all is. (you should really try to learn this yourself as this would sound on your place or studio or gig awful)

Red channel:

Bright and crunch both on
PRE gain 4
LOW 4
MID 0
HIGH 4
POST gain 3
RESONANCE 7
PRESENCE 6

hope that helps
edit: and add super overdrive sd-1
level 12
tone 11
drive 9

and a noise supressor ns-2
