Funny Coheed and Cambria video

This band is absolutely incredible. They've been my favorite band for about 4 years now, and every song they have is amazing. Their poppy stuff is better than all of the other mainstream poppy stuff, and they've introduced a new generation of listeners to progressive rock with their other songs. I highly recommend this band to all people who haven't heard them.

Before Bear and Andrew shoot down dcowboys311 (since I KNOW they will), that was a song from their first album The Second Stage Turbine Blade, whic was the mostt emo of their albums. They have since shifted into a better unit.

Ben do not speak for me thanks. I had no intention of shooting down anyone, I like the song and I think they are a funny band. I hear that they have like an on going story that has been all of their albums, is that true?

Bear

I don't know, Second Stage Turbine Blade is my favorite album by them. In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 has some incredible tracks on it though, most notably 2113, The Light and the Glass, The Crowing, and Velorium Camper II: Backend of Forever. Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV: Volume One, From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness has a lot of good songs on it too. The singer said that Ten Speed: Of God's Blood and Burial, the fourth track on Good Apollo, is very Iron Maiden influenced, and you can definitely hear a riff similar to The Trooper's.

Oh, and that video that was posted isn't the actual video for that song. It was a joke video that appeared on the bonus DVD that came with In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3.

I'm not going to shoot down anyone for liking a band just because I don't like them. Now, if I do think the band literally sucks, as in can't play there fucking instruments in the solo or a band that half asses their albums and doesn't give a shit about their own music anymore and should just give up so we can worship their early material and so we don't have to hear any new shit they put out that makes up think even less of them, god damn that was a rediculous run-on sentence!

As far as Coheed goes, Welcome Home kicks my ass and that's about it. I wouldn't shoot down anyone for liking them, if I did I would shoot down my bass player and one of my best friends everytime I see him, they are little Coheed bitches! :tickled:

The HAIR alone on that dude makes the video. He could be covering Britney or Christina and I'd still drop everything to look at that funny ass hair....

That's 'funny-ass' hair, NOT 'funny ass-hair'.... Though that would probably be even funnier in a video...

Sorry Bear and Andrew. When you wrote "funny" and used the emoticon, I presumed the worst, that of "old style metalhead laughing at the mainstream to show how macho he is" I must've seen too many Manowar fans heckling Oasis or whatever :P
This crow I'm eating needs a lot of salt.

Actually, there IS a storyline throughout the albums, involving a set of assassins (named Coheed (m) and Cambria (f), their children Claudio Killgannon (silly Legend of Zelda reference there), death, murder, revenge, love and the role the writer/storyteller makes and takes as a godhead.

The big 'fro'd dude (Claudio Sanchez) wrote the storyline, which has loose parallels to his own life. Claudio's family is still happily alive.

The band have begun collecting their tales in comic book/graphic novel form.

Btw, the albums are chapters in the story, but not in sequence. SECOND stage turbine blade was their debut, in search of silent earth: THREE was the follup-up, and the newest one of the earlier half of part FOUR. The remaining pieces are the latter half of part 4 (coming up after a brief promotional tour), and chapter ONE.

Hope this helps

The Cd's contain incidents from their comic "Coheed and Cambria"

certain things are from certain parts and the comics go in chapters "SECOND stage turbine blade," "In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth: THREE" and "Good Apollo: Im Burning Star FOUR. volume 1." So I think their next album will have something to do with "One".

There are sites about the chapters and stuff, I do know that Apollo is Coheed and Cambria's dog, and that they have like 4 children and one survives and wants to kill either Coheed or Cambria. It's a wierd ass story.. but really unique and original concept.

Woot.. going to see them 11/11!
