Favela of My Dismay
Death/Doom from the sun scorched pastures of Australia. Nico I'm sure you're atleast vaguely familiar. While not bringing anything new to the table, Futility has command of a brand of doom penned by BMD era Katatonia. Hell they even did a cover of "Murder", as seen below. Blatant worship/familiarity of sound aside, the music is well executed.

what is this crap???

:shrugs:

I found the tracks offered to be mildly above average, but figured somebody here would enjoy them enough to garner some e-praise. Chalk this up as an ill-advised venture in thread making. The track Fallen is the better of the bunch. The Katatonia cover is something Matt Stone could come up with if he practiced for the next 6 years.

Steering this topic to another death/doom direction. What's everyone's opinion of the band Dissolving of Prodigy? Checking them out at the moment and this seems to be right up my avenue.

A track from each one of their releases on kikespace. Affliction & The Land Of Bird`s Spirit being the tracks representative of their death/doom style. Now this my lads is anything but average. This is frothingly stellar.

Yea as usual erik mentioned them 3903 years before the rest of us (hellmike's gifts > all), but dop gets a thumbs up. I think a nice amount of bands have been mentioned in the many doom/death threads (j was looking into the genre before the traditional doom frenzy). Try to find mp3s of a band called pyogenesis, their early ep's are the best stuff ever:Shedevil:
