1987.

Metallica at their peak. Newsted warming up. Phenomenal cover tunes that are 'somewhat produced'. "Crash Course in Brain Surgery" and "The Small Hours" are works of art. Good tunes for drinking beer to.

2005.

Me listening to disc 2 of Garage Inc. on a Friday night with beer in hand. 18 years on, and those songs are still outstanding, beer still hits the spot. The lack of production has actually helped it stand the test of time.

That. is. all.

You know that brief Run to the Hills cover they do all fucked up? I use that technique frequently, you should've heard my version of White Room while stoned last night!

*ahem*

Garage Days kicks all kinds of ass, I enjoy the piss out of all those tunes but especially Breadfan, that 6/4 time signature pulls my ween just right.

I've never seen School of Rock, but I think I'd appreciate it.
Garage Days also got me into Killing Joke, for which I'm eternally grateful. Misfits too.
