Gauges Microphones ECM-87

Did anyone try one of these mics?

I think they are a kind of Neumann replica. They are done in China but hand tested in California (like all the brands in the world )
Here you can find a comparison from ECM87,U87,AKG 414 and TLM103, used with Male vocals, Female vocals and Acoustic guitars...

Very interesting.
I have to buy a vocal mic and I'm thinking seriously about these gauges

Where do you think all the brands made their mics/Guitars/Bass/Amps?
Anyway...I can hear some differences from the various clips.....but, I mean.....150$ vs 2200$

Of course, but not all mics cost 150$.
Not trying to be a dick or a gear snob, hell I use a cheapoes myself.
But their comparaison is enough for me to try to avoid them like plague.
I'm just sick of that sound.
But hey, if they suit your taste go ahead.

Do you have some advice for a good and cheap vocal mics?

In that price range, I don't know... Maybe the Kel Audio's are ok for the price.
I remember LSD saying good things about them, and judging from their sound samples, they doesn't seem to exhibit the usual over enhanced sound.
