Hello all, metalhead from Aus signing in. I've been listened to metal for a few years now, I play bass guitar and I also sing a little. As for favourite metal subgenres, I pretty much love all true metal. I love doom as well as first wave metal bands, NWOBHM, and glam, but I'm also quite into thrash and power, as well as black and death, and pretty much anything else you can think of. That being said, I'm not a huge melodeath fan.
As for favourite bands, that's pretty difficult, although I'd have to say Twisted Sister is right up there, as well as Sabbath and Maiden (Typical, I know.). UFO, Blue Oyster Cult, Venom, Oral, Cirith Ungol and Summonus are some other bands I quite like, but I could go on forever.
I enjoy most forms of music, but if I'm not listening to metal it's most likely rock n' roll or blues.
