Two rokit 8's for 138 USD a piece! In a pawn shop! Also walked out with a Mackie MR5, which stand up as nice near-field monitors. Surprising low end response! So fucking excited to have these bitches for such a low price, buying both for lees than one MSRP! Fucking pawn shop gear rules the ass.

there are no reasonable pawn shops in my city, i wish there were. only ones that sell guitars with a crooked neck for pretty much the msrp of a new one.

Yessir, they looked fantastic. Any issues with the gen 2's? These have slight cosmetic damage, but well worth the asking price IMO.

On the contrary actually, there are issues with the gen 1's. G2's were the improved version.

Yeah, I'm taking about the rokit's. I've never owned a pair. If you have, how did you like them?

I have MR5s and I like them a lot. Haven't done much mixing through them, mind you. But mine are the ones with the Mackie logo on them, not the running figurine they come with nowadays.. that's why I was asking.

There are Rokits5s and HS50M5s at the studio. Although I almost haven't had experience with them so far, the Rokits seem much 'louder' or bright, if you will. I prefer the Yamahas (more true imo), but having both I guess is always better.

I'll go home and check the logo's on the mr5's. They might be different from each other's. I do like them, though. Excellent low end response for their small size. But they are in a bedroom right now.
