No those are rowing sores from the crew team trip to England that Ben and I went on. The oars we were using were different from the ones we use here in Richmond and my hands got rediculously torn up by them, no one elses got nearly as bad as mine. I had fourteen sores/blisters on my right hand and eight on my left.
Let's just say he was fervently working the oar, stroking until the boat came, working the lumber hard and feathering finely and swiftly until the finish.
I have to say that those oar handles did get the job done nicely once you got used to them. But then again, the main thing bothering me was when my thumb got crushed against the gunwale and bled all over the place, not blisters.
