Generation Swine

Heres one for the motley fans What did you think of that album like it? Hate it? any favorites?

At first I thought Generation Swine was a lot like a bad laxitive. It just didn't move me......

But after a while a couple songs began to stick in my head. Now I like it a lot but it's still not my favorite Crue album...I think New Tattoo blows it outta the water...but anyway, Afraid, Gen Swine, Find Myself, and Rat Like Me are my favorites on there. Afraid is probably my favorite track. Two of the worst songs ever recorded in the history of music are BRANDON and ROCKETSHIP. Not to mention the car wreck that is SHOUT 97...a close third in the worst songs ever...BUT aside from those 3 pieces of crap, I'd rate the rest of the album about a 6 or 7 overall. GOOD, but not a classic.
"Brandon" makes me want to slap Tommy around the way he did Pam!

But that's just me...

I have mixed feelings about this one. Even with the expanded versions of this it does not make this the "come back" album that I would have wanted it to be. Remember, their performance of Shout '97 started the mud slinging between Larz & T Bone. They played the AMA's & they were using samples... I happen to like the Shout '97 version, but nothing beats the original. I liked Glitter on that one. Sixx once said on record that he wasn't happy with Theater of Pain & that anyone that owned a copy "should burn it." I think Generation Swine should only be owned by Crue completeists.
