"Captain Kirk, there appears to be some strange debris around Urainus. Should we move in to investigate?"

"No, don't. I ......................don't .....like .....the smell of this......., it....could be....a ....trap."

You really think he was making $300,000 a year??????
I doubt he even made $300 in royalties. He did little of the song writting on that CD. It was not that big of a success and they played relatively few venues and most were very small. I would be very suprised if Geoff Tate made that kind of money with sales, touring, publishing and merch. He invested a lot of money into that project that he had to make up. However, I'd be willing to bet Moughton said he was getting that much money in royalties was a way of covering the theft. I guy who appeard underemployed has a shitload of money, you have to wonder what illegal activity he participating in. Take that same guy who was in a band that was somewhat famous and he tells you he's getting residuals from the project, you might noy be so skeptical.

Was he part of Queensryche too, or just Geoff Tates solo band?

Only the Geoff Tate band.

Mike Stone is the 2nd guitar in QR after they booted Kelly Gray, another guy who had potential but turned into a loser. I'm referring to Kelly Gray. I got some stories there. I think there was some speculation at one time that the other guitar player in Geoff's solo band, Jeff Carrell, might be named to replace Kelly. But I never heard from anyone reliable that this was true. I think Stone is a better fit for QR than Carrell, though Carrell a nice guy and decent player.

If ya wanna contribute the the Scott Moughton defense fund (j/k) I'd recommend the Geoff Tate album in DVD-A format it sounds great.
