george lynch-souls of we

I have. I liked the direction, but I wasn't crazy about the singer. Great guitar playing...as usual.

is it better than lynch mob smoke this? its kinda sad lynch is one of the best guitar players ever and in the last 10 years he's released what...3 albums of original material (smoke this, wicked underground and souls of we) and a bunch of compilations of demo's and a bunch of cover songs.

I have heard some of it. I did hear on Eddie Trunk a while back that this album was coming soon... That was back around August... Is it out yet? I'm curious how London sounds like on the album George seemed to have gone back and reworked some of the stuff...

its out now, i believe it was released 2-3 weeks ago

hmmm....seems the Shrapnel version was released on 11/4 and has 14 tracks. I've had this since mid-August but mine only has 13 tracks. Their MySpace says it was released in May. All the tracks are in a different order too...

i wonder if anyone in the world actually liked the album SMOKE THIS? anyone on here like it?

well i guess i'll be the first 2 comment on SMOKE THIS since i asked if anyone liked it. it has about 3 god songs and 1 ok song and then a bunch of crap. george's playing is great but why call it a lynch mob album when its not. it was a george lynch solo album. i like shadowlife but i had to sell my copy of smoke this. i burned a copy for myself just in case i ever wanted to hear it again

Lynch frustrates me... he absolutely rips it up live, but his studio work just never does it for me.

I'm looking forward to this....

LYNCH MOB: New Album Title Revealed - Nov. 29, 2008 Cameron Edney of Inside Out webzine recently conducted an interview with legendary guitarist George Lynch (DOKKEN, LYNCH MOB) and singer Oni Logan (LYNCH MOB). A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.

Inside Out: You recently went back into the studio to begin work on the next LYNCH MOB album. After so many years of recording, what are you hoping to achieve in the studio this time around?

Oni Logan: We hope to deliver a solid recording, one that will be up to snuff with the first album, so to speak.

George Lynch: Revisiting the wonderful chemistry that Oni and I shared...and building upon the legacy of that first record "Wicked Sensation" and doing it without the drugs and egos.

Inside Out: What can you tell us about the new tracks you are currently working oo? Can you share any working titles with us?

George Lynch: The album is tentatively entitled "Smoke And Mirrors", and some of the track titles are "The Phasist", "Mansions In The Sky" and "Hollywood Heroes". It's got a nice old-skool four on the floor vibe to it… very honest, bare and raw!

Oni Logan: So far the songs that have been written are all different from each other, in some ways it's been a bit of an adventure, it's really too early to tell what will end up on the recording.

Inside Out: Although you are still in the early stages with "Smoke And Mirrors", has there been a release date set?

George Lynch: We're hoping for early summer 2009.

Inside Out: When it comes to writing for the new album, have you approached it in the same way as you have done albums in the past or are you guys looking at this from various different angles?

Oni Logan: The writing process is the same as ever… George comes up with a few riffs we arrange it together then I take it home and write the lyrics and melodies for it.
