In the seven-minute clip below, George Lynch, whose incendiary playing has been the hallmark of bands including DOKKEN, LYNCH MOB, KXM and more, takes out his latest addition to the ESP LTD signature series, the GL Burnt Tiger. In addition to a whole lot of impromptu jamming by Mr. Scary, you'll learn the details about this outstanding instrument which features a carved-top alder body, a smooth and fast maple neck with ebony fingerboard and 22 extra-jumbo frets, Grover tuners, a Floyd Rose bridge, and a high-output Seymour Duncan TB-6 pickup. In a 2015 interview with GoDpsMusic, Lynch was asked if there are any new artists that stand out to him. He responded: "I'm not gonna pretend to be a musicologist [or an expert on] current music. He continued: "I listen to everything… I don't just listen for guitar players. I think the band thing is the bigger picture and the more important picture is the song composition. "I really listen to singers more than I listen to guitar players. I love old blues singers and R&B singers and people that really emote when they sing. That's always what I try to do with my guitar — just sort of mimick wind instruments and vocalists, when I was starting out… So I wasn't trying to play like another guitar player; I was trying to emulate a voice."
