Getting Ayreon's The human Equation full album in a few days

:yell:

I want it now too! I preordered it from plato.nl - I got the limited edition. Problem is, it will probably be June by the time it gets here. :(

The clip of Devin on Arjen's site is amazing. It gave me goosebumps. I can't wait!

I'm VERY eargerly anticipating it...looks like the best album of 2004...maybe my favorite album ever..

Who all has gotten theirs? What do you think? I'm still undecided. I need another few listens. There are 2 or 3 songs that really stick out as great, the rest will either grow on me as good or bad. It's still to early to tell, but I'm thinking it doesn't come close to topping ItEC.

I think the vocal performances and arrangements on THE are superior to those on ETIC, but I still prefer the music from ITEC. Nothing will ever top the last 3 minutes of Amazing Flight In Space!!!

Devin's vocal performance is mind boggling on Day 3. The layer's and emotion just make me get goosebumps! I agree the vocal arrangements are good. However, the vocal performances on ITEC are much better to me. And I agree - instrumentally, it's ITEC all the way.

I do need more listens though.

I never thought Arjen would top the debut The Final Experiment but he's done it. The Human Equation is not only my favourite Ayreon release, it's the best thing released since Pain of Salvation's Remedy Lane, IMO. I do like Electric Castle a lot but TFE has always appealed to me better for some reason.

The new Ayreon is brilliant due to the great vocalists and storyline. Musically it's hit or miss depending on the song, some have interesting instrumentation, but often its just in the background for the vocals except during the cool solo's. I hope all you dudes have heard Star One, that's still my favorite work of Arjen's because its metal rather then rock oriented. The Star One live DVD is killer too.
As for buying metal, you folks never heard of www.theendrecords.com ? I got my DCD/DVD longbook version of the Human Equation for $27 shipped before it sold out, that's $6 less then www.metaldisc.com was selling it for...sweet!

I buy most all of my CDs from The End. They have no shipping (within North America), and CDs are only $10-12 (typically).

I got THE from Plato.nl to help Ayreon "enter the charts" as they desired. I got the limited signed edition.
