GHOST Wins Swedish GRAMMIS Award For 'Best Hard Rock/Metal' Album

Swedish occult rockers GHOST were honored in the "Best Hard Rock/Metal" category at the Swedish Grammis awards (Swedish Grammy equivalent). The band also performed the song "He Is" at the ceremony, which was held earlier tonight (Wednesday, February 24) at Cirkus in Stockholm. Video footage of GHOST's acceptance speech and performance can be seen below. "Best Hard Rock/Metal" nominees were as follows: * GHOST - "Meliora" * BACKYARD BABIES - "Four By Four" * GRAVEYARD - "Innocence & Decadence" * REFUSED - "Freedom" * TRIBULATION - "Children Of The Night" The groups were nominated for their most recent releases, all of which came out during 2015. As previously reported, GHOST won the Grammy for "Best Metal Performance" during the pre-telecast ceremony at the 58th annual Grammy Awards. GHOST was nominated for the song "Cirice" from "Meliora". The other nominees in the "Best Metal Performance" category were AUGUST BURNS RED, LAMB OF GOD, SEVENDUST and SLIPKNOT. "Cirice" recently reached the Top 10 at rock radio, the first song from the band to get significant airplay in the U.S. GHOST will return to the U.S. this spring for a headlining tour that kicks off in Montclair, New Jersey on April 13, wrapping up on May 22 in Albany, New York.
