I already downloaded and I must say I got pretty dissapointed considering the amount and quality of the guests. 'I Spy' (Dio/Iommi) version sounds a bit like HAH but Dio share his vocals with Kim. 'Spend Spend Spend' is too poppy but 'Still Waters' has more grip. The version of 'Metropolis' is regular and maybe the best is 'Dont Talk To Me because lemmy sings in it. 'Emergency' is quite a classic but the re-recorded version doesn't add a new dimension to the original one (that btw it slays). In general terms I was expecting more considering the circumstances of the album. Myabe I have to spin it a bit more.

That doesn't help make it a better album trust me...

What's your impression? Has you been able to check it? I took it for another spin today, but again fails to deliver the same feeling from the early albums, and with all that help...well is kinda of :erk:

I haven´t listened the album yet but on saturday I´m going to see Girlschool for the first time. I´m not a super fan from the UK band but I like a lot some songs.

If I like new songs that they´re going to play maybe I´ll buy the new album but reading what you´re saying :erk:...

Well that kinda sucks y'all! I've been listening to Girlschool since about 83 or 84! Back when I had Hit & Run on vinyl, and Screaming Blue Murder on cassette! Which may I add, are both very good as is Demolition & Take A Bite from 1992! But please avoid 1985's "Running Wild" just not very good, way too poppy & way too commercial & they got a whole new singer too!

"Hit and Run"? More or less that was their "show" yesterday. 600 km from Madrid to Barcelona and the result was:

Girlschool came, took the money and ran! They were there but didn´t play. I don´t know why. A shame!
