At the beginning of the season, I would have never guessed the Giants would make it to the World Series. Their starting pitching staff just isn't strong enough. However, despite the weak starting pitching, they gave us one hell of a playoff run. Let's face it, the Angels are a better team. Their lineup is filled with excellent contact hitters from top to bottom. Congrats to the Angels.
However, at least, Bonds had a great post season. He proved why he is the most feared hitter in baseball. I can't believe that reporter ripped Barry (in the locker room after game 7) for having a 1 for 3 game. Give him a fuckin' break. He did everything possible to give the Giants a chance. He carried this team on his back. Thanks for an outstanding season, Barry. And thanks to the Giants for keeping me interested in baseball until the end of October.
