hehe great game from them, if they play like that against the tigers, they'll win. I reckon that's the best finals performance from any team this year (apart from the last 10 minutes, which was sloppy, but hey, up by 30 points who cares)!
I was thinking today about the Cowboys making it, and thinking that nothing short of an thrashing of Parramatta would stop the press carrying on about the 50-6 loss to the Tigers two weeks ago.
Cowboys win. Thrash Parramatta. Rock on.
Not sure who I'll go for yet. Probably the Cowboys, but for once I really won't be upset about either team winning because I've been supporting them both for years. Woo.
The new A-League that started a few weeks ago. Because it had a flashy advertising campaign people now think that it's something to get excited about... but it's just the same old soccer to me, ie. something that is only moderately entertaining on the 30 second highlights on the news.
Go Melbourne Victory! The A League is the best chance soccer's ever had of succeeding in this country. They finally got rid of all the ethnic crap and made it about the game, not country of origin. Nothing against ethnic folk, it's just that if you weren't of certain ethnicities you couldn't fit in before.
The league has managed to retain a lot of good local players, and even attract some to return here from overseas. I'm hoping to go to a game soon.
