Well, for starters, it's always nice to see another of a million reminders a day that the world hates the US. Aside from seeing endless footage of riots in the Middle East with burning American Flags, gas prices of $3.50 a gallon, countless posts on many a forum talking about how stupid Americans are, and so many other things, it's always nice to have THIS to remind us that the world hates America.

And TBH, I kinda thought that it wouldn't be very hard for this to evolve into a relevant discussion.

The footage of riots and flag burnings you speak of...You see that because that is what you are looking for. It is easy to believe the world hates us when we are never told of the countries who like us. I would imagine that all of you who post in this area fancy yourselves as free-thinkers. Not the type that changes their outlook based on popular opinion, right? Conformity is for cerebral-pigmies, right?

Yes I think we should be told of the countries that like the US. I can only name one: Israel. (Of course there are friendly governments elsewhere, but I am thinking more about populations.)

In my everyday life, I do not let the opinions of others dictate my actions. Therefore, I am not particularly concerned about what CNN tells me the people of France (allegedly) think of America.
