Should be awesome!
Who else is going?
Can anyone here tell me something about Shinedown? I've heard OF them, but how is their music?
Thanks.

45 is their worst song imo. Shinedown is the best of those 3 bands, again imo.

Their cd "leave a whisper" is great, those following (1 LP, 1 EP) are good but not as good

I have seen all 3 of these bands. Zombie and Godsmack in 99; Both AMAZING (ESPECIALLY Zombie - fire, blood, demons, go-go dancers, everything you could ever want in a Zombie show); Saw Godsmack again in 00 and Zombie last summer (very dissapointing :(). I saw Shinedown at a free show in 04 with Theory of a Deadman. I unfortunately haven't been following them lately but they were fucking awsome live. Kicks the shit out of Nickelback any day of the week. For those of you who go to this, I'm sure you won't be dissapointed! Cheers!!

He has the look, but he really CANNOT sing. All he ever seems to sing/write is the word "yeah". Boring and vocally challenged. Sorry. Wait, no I'm not! Thats my opinion. Oh, and by the way, to hell with having the "look".

Count me as another Rob Z. fan. Reportedly a nice guy, I like a lot of his stuff and he's talented beyond the realm of music.

I'm a Rob Zombie fan too. He has some geat songs and puts on a helluva show! He is a nice guy, very down to Earth. I saw him recently with Lacuna Coil in Dallas and before the show he came over to the fence and signed autographs.

I also like Godsmack. They have a good combimation of heavy yet melodic songs with catchy hooks and choruses.

Did anyone see the VH1 Rock Honors show? It was like a REAL rock-n-roll hall of fame show featuring Queen, Judas Priest, Def Leppard and Kiss. Godsmack inducted Priest and played a killer medley of "The Hellion/Electric Eye/Victim of Changes/Hell Bent For Leather". Rob Zombie was part of the "Supergroup" that inducted Kiss including Tommy Lee, Slash, Gilby Clarke, Scott Ian and ... ACE FUCKING FREHLEY!!!!!!!! They tore the house down with "God of Thunder," stealing the thunder of Kiss who followed them! Imagine what it had to be like for Tommy Thayer to be playing Ace's songs in Ace's makeup ... while Ace was there!! Paul Rodgers did a great job singing with Queen on "Show Must Go On" and "We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions." Amazing show that I would have killed to have been at.

Shinedown is the best band on the bill without a doubt! The lead singer can truly sing, but the music is straight ahead hard rock. They even have some classic rock roots in their music.

As for Zombie and Godsmack.............snore.....o_O

:kickass: Shinedown is a straight up hardrock act. They had success on commercial radio with a Nickelback-ish song called "45" but dont let that fool you, they do jam. I like em. Nothing fancy, just rock.

I am with you on Shinedown. I like excellent rock music and Shinedown delivers that. Unfortunately excellent rock and roll is even harder to find than excellent metal.

Can't say I care much for the other two. Godsmack is FAR from the worst nu-metal band I have ever heard. Some of their early stuff reminds me of Pantera a little, but still they aren't my thing.
