Although 2018 marked the 20th anniversary of GODSMACK's self-titled debut album, the band decided not commemorate that milestone, choosing instead to focus on promoting its latest album called "When Legends Rise". In a brand new interview with Graspop Metal Meeting, GODSMACK drummer Shannon Larkin and frontman Sully Erna were asked if there are still any plans for the band to celebrate hitting the two-decade mark. "We have lots of secret things — like there's concerts that are coming up that are special and different that we can maybe put some kind of package together," Shannon said (see video below). "[Last year] everybody said the same thing to us: '20-year anniversary. What are you guys gonna do special?' "We're kind of, like, 'God, we have this new record out we love, we're supporting.'" Added Sully: "Maybe the 25th-year anniversary of the first album, we'll do something special for all the records, but right now…" GODSMACK is continuing to tour in support of "When Legends Rise", which was released in April 2018. The disc follows up 2014's "1000hp" and is the band's first release through BMG after splitting with its longtime home, Republic/Universal. "When Legends Rise" was recorded at GODSMACK's headquarters (GSHQ) in Derry, New Hampshire and produced by Erik Ron and Erna.
