Gonzo Ralphs

except for when i was liven at yer house ive worked every election since 1998.
they dont pay ya shit, but it's usually lotsa fun. the governor recall shit was a mess cuz there was never any time there wasnt a huge line waiting for booths. this one is gonna be a mess cuz of the HAVA act after der george w's florida bs. it's the 1st non punch ballot primary in LA and you cant vote for other partys candidates any more unless yer a non partisan voter AND yer voteing for one of the 3 partys that have given permission for nonpartisan voters to vote for their candidate... so we're gonna have people wanting to change their party or lieing about their party who dont understand that we cant just change their party for um, and the ones who registered independant and dont understand that independant is a party name and nonpartisan is when you aren affiliated...

usually it's fun though. with me liveing here so long and lawndale haveing so many people in such a small space, i see folks i havent seen for years. you remember the weslyan church by william green? thats the place for lawndale south side. mr micheal the pastor and his son matt allways work, and besides that they allways bring lots of food for me theyre normal abnormal lawndale folks and we cause alot of trouble:p

might be better if i sleep some time this week if im gonna work though aye?:loco:

so all that caca about the url ta get here and what ya doin is all ya got to say?:loco:

thats what you get for being an oregomer trying to become euro trash:loco: ;)

democracy isnt working because gw is president and he wants to be fuehrer.
chooseing a worthy candidate is next to impossible, but casting a ballot is pretty simple-even with the mess this primary has. if you dont understand there's instructions on yer sample ballot and hanging from every booth in 8 languages and us poll workers help ya too. for the people that cant except that voteing laws and procedures dont change for them or the people who cant say they need some help they have noone to blame but themselves if their ballot is invalidated. if stupid and arrogant people keep their OWN vote from being counted imo it isn't a bad thing!

ya probably got paid more than me, california doesnt add anything to the federal payment and neither does los angeles county. im only gettin $80 and $25 of that is a bonus for sitting through the hour and a half training update.
city of lawndale (where i live) is haveing me work their election april 13th. i gotta be there 12 hours and only get $55, but there's only 3 things on the ballot. i doubt i'll get 50 people all day (198 people voted for the primairy and the exact same precinct with only a couple new voters since had 814 voters for the governors recall!)

Damn, 814 is a lot for one precinct. That's not a lot of money. I got $85 for the day and a whopping $10 for the training session (in addition to that) that was supposed to last an hour but kept me there for an hour and 50 minutes. Damn the old woman asking 1000 questions when we were the only two people left in the room with the instructor. Went in at 6 AM and left at 8:40 PM on election day.

my city is only 2 square miles and has a population of 30,000-i work in the smallest precinct in the city.

here the training sessions are held the 3 weeks before the election. the old women at the classes... all the cheap perfume combineing and it smells like youre in the bathroom after somebody took a major dump and sprayed lilac air freshener over it :puke:
then it's like the only time the whole year they have someone to talk to and while the trainer is trying to show you any new procedures since the last election theyre busy telling everyone about what happened at the polls when eisenhower was elected:ill:
