Seriously, my favorite metal bands are: Nightwish, Between the Buried and Me, The Black Dahlia Murder, Protest the Hero, Iron Maiden, Hibria, Into Eternity, Killswitch Engage,Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, and surely a few others that have slipped my mind.
Yeah yeah, some of those are arguably not "real metal". I don't really care to argue semantics. I like these bands, and I consider them in one form or another, metal.
