The funny thing is, is that I have owned Generation Void for a couple years now but never listened to it but finally started to a couple weeks ago and it has been using my scrotum as a speedbag ever since. So, I dl the first two, which are Hellhound Releases, and was delivered the final 1-2 knockout fucking blows.

Now, I need to do everything in my power to obtain the first two CD's no matter what.

Pretty decent stuff, but I swear, I think doom metal as a whole could be accused of "livin in the fuckin past" more than any other genre. This shit sounds 30 years old!

Granted, I know most of the whole stoner revival thing is pretty retro, but there's a huge difference between these dudes (a former Sabbath cover band, big surprise ) and Colour Haze or even Electric Wizard. [/total snob]

trad doom, sure, but as i've contested before, funeral doom/some other more experimental shit and whatnot is probably THE most progressive metal genre in the past 10 years.

also there are some trad doom bands that manage to sound "modern"/"progressive" and yet stick to being trad doom like MIRROR OF DECEPTION
