I've particularly been listening to a lot of Agalloch, Drudkh & Windir lately. I really love the way they combine BM with a more folky sound, but without going over the top in the folky department (like Finntroll & Falkenbach, both of which I love but only in limited doses) so nothing too far off the deep end, but a definite folky vibe is nice.

Anyway, could you recommend any standout acts in this sub genre?

Thanks!

Ancient Rites- Dim Carcosa
Black Lotus- Harvest of Seasons
Myrkgrav- Trollskau Skroemt Og Koelabrenning
Pagan Reign- Tverd
Primordial- Spirit the Earth Aflame, The Gathering Wilderness, To the Nameless Dead
Sear Bliss- Glory and Perdition
Skyforger- Kauja Pie Saules
Thyrfing- Vansinnesvisor
Woods of Ypres- Pursuit of the Sun and Allure of the Earth

EDIT: I didn't include Moonsorrow because of the "overblown" comment, but I still think they should be mentioned.

Particularly later Moonsorrow, Verisakeet onward, fits the bill.

I would recommend gett "Against the Seasons..." by Woods of Ypres as well.

Negura Bunget hasn't been mentioned yet. I'd recommend the album 'n Crugu Bradului.

Also, these bands:
Taake
Klabautamann
Nagelfar (the e is important)
Draugnim
Dornenreich
Cor Scorpii
Vreid
Kampfar

Thy Serpent - Forests of Witchery
