LONDON (Reuters) - Chocoholics seeking to indulge their passion this Easter will appreciate a British hotel chain's diet-busting chocolate sandwich, which boasts the added attraction of being dipped in batter and deep-fried.

Ramada Jarvis introduced the delicacy last month and said on Wednesday the calorie-heavy dish had become the fastest selling dessert on its menu.

"We were surprised it has become so popular, although it is very tasty," said the chain's director of food and beverages Debbie Walter.

The sandwich is particularly popular in Scotland, traditional birthplace of the mother of all deep-fried desserts, the battered Mars bar.

Mindful that Britain, along with other Western countries, faces an increasing problem of obesity the hotel chain also offers less fattening desserts.

"The chocolate sandwich is not something if you are on a serious calorie-controlled diet, but we do offer alternatives," said Walter. Ramada Jarvis has 65 hotels in Britain, but only 36 currently offer the waist-expanding dessert.

I would seriously eat that if I could find one around here. I wonder if I could just make one myself?

I try to eat at least 3 servings of dessert per day.

that scientist was a total retard also.
this sandwich is crazy that's like chocolate tempura. that's so gross.
i'd be afraid to leave the dope alone with a deep fryer.
they deep fry candy bars in most diners in texas i have been around. and down south. and twinkies. and ice cream. (aka fried ice cream)

also, i heard on the radio that this sandwich has over 1,000 calories.

p.s. the last 6 british people i've met here in new york have all been fatties with fuzzy teeth.

The Dope and I go down to the dining hall and he eats a bowl of whipped cream topped jello and 3 slices of pie. He's 6'7" and weighs only 200 pounds. Hate him!

I'd like to reference a previously posted picture stating that fat chicks give better head because they are hungry. Also, as previously stated by yours truly, ugly girls do ugly things. I'd like to attribute that quote to the father of a friend of mine who told us that when we were 10.
