thanks. great white has never let me down. can't say the same about BLS though plus i own every album they've released so i might just get the dvd

IMO, Great White has never released an average album. Even, my favourite is an unusual one: "Can´t get there from here".

"Rising" is good. Not among their best releases but OK for a fan like me. Maybe a little too soft sometimes. It´s more "american rock" oriented. Some songs could have been written by, fir instance, Tom Petty but that´s good for me. I´d prefer something harder but it´s smooth, elegant and quality stuff.

The BLS is a best of CD/DVD combo, it's more of the recent stuff where their previous best of was only the Spitfire years... The DVD is pretty cool but if you already have a best of or have the back catalog you might want to pick it up used...

I agree the first handful of Great White albums are the fucking shit!!!!
I love Great White and Shot In The Dark great albums....

I've only got Once Bitten and remember Twice Shy, it was a tape passed around by our band, we played House of Broken Love. Glad they are still at it and all back together.

There was alot of tragedy out there in those pop metal bands. Def Leppard, Motley Crue... what Vince had a bad accident with a real close friend ? Wasnt somebody electrocuted pretty good too ? Matijevic from Steelheart climbs a half ton lighting tower that wont hold him, comes toppling over and gets his head between it and the floor.... There must be more horror stories out there I never heard about too.

My favorite was Psycho Motel but every album up it is sheer gold. On Your Knees is a great metal tune. I couldn't believe it was them when I saw them.
