For music I like all kinds of shit, everything from Smooth Jazz to Hardcore Punk to Technical Death Metal. If its technical, skillfull, hard, fast I'll probably like it.

Cephalic Carnage
Some honorable mentions would have to be Origin, Slayer (old stuff), and Tool.
I consider myself somewhat a traditional metalhead. I don't really have much love for Core bands (except for grindcore
) A matter of fact, I pretty much hate everything about them. I just feel it's a rip off of thrash, melodic death metal, and/or hardcore punk. Simplified. Then added generic lyrics/growls and of course single noted BREAKDOWNS
