Ladies and Gents if you haven't witnessed the Florida based traditional speed metal band Great Awakening I'd strongly suggest you remedy this as soon as you can.

For fans of White Wizzard, Holy Grail, Widow, Viron etc.

My simple review:

This highly energetic foursome from Orlando Florida keep your ears in check through a blistering set of fantastic full force originals that will blow your mind. These guys look young, but don't let that fool you; they have a wealth of knowledge in what Traditional Heavy Metal with a thrash tinge is all about. Great Awakening is a breath of fresh air compared to most of the unsigned original bands out there today. Making their stamp on Florida Powerfest II and Pathfinder Promotions recent Metal Mayday, Great Awakening are sure to continue their stampede into the scene. If they ever make their way to your town, I wouldn't miss it.

Saw these guys at the Blind Guardian show and enjoyed them a hell of a lot.

I'll third the recommendation. They TORE IT UP at Metal Mayday last week. Great sound. Really tight live too.
