Great Guitar Solos

I doubt that it has never been done before in a forum as big as this.

Anyway, one of my favorite solos is in 'Rebellion in Dreamland' by Gamma Ray. Performed by Kai Hansen.

DragonForce - Through The Fire And Flames
Amon Amarth - Under The Northern Star
Anthrax - Lone Justice
At The Gates - Blinded By Fear
Children Of Bodom - Children Of Decadence
Daylight Dies - A Dream Resigned
Demons & Wizards - Blood On My Hands
Edge Of Sanity - Crimson

Just to name a few

Opeth: the funeral portrait 4:28-5:28 and 7:31-8:01
Agalloch: not unlike the waves 4:38-5:17

Blind Guardian - Banish From Sanctuary
Overkill - Kill At Command
Iron Maiden - Revelations, Somewhere In Time, Deja Vu, Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son, and Moonchild
Death - Trapped In A Corner

Children of Bodom- Follow The Reaper
Iron Maiden- Aces High
Soul Source- Fly
Dragonforce- Revolution Deathsquad
Slayer- Angel of Death
Helloween- I Want Out
Iron Savor- Irion Savior
Hypocrisy- Suffering Souls

The solo to Diminished To Be by Necrophagist and yeah that DragonForce solo to Revolution Deathsquad kicks ass, idec. Too bad they can't play it live very well

When I saw them live they didn't play that song so I can't confirm but there is a good video on youtube of them playing it and it is done pretty well.

Agree totally on Hangar 18, was going to mention it myself but I thought I would hear a few replies first. In total it is something like 11 solos but as a whole it is a masterpiece.

One of my favourite solos has always been Lucca Turilli's solo on Unholy Warcry, I am not a big Rhapsody or Power Metal fan but I that solo is genius.

It may not be the greatest guitar solo of all time but the shred guitar on Slipknot's welcome is pretty tricky, I learn't to play that and it is not easy (for me atleast) with 32nd notes all over the fret board.

Megadeth - Good Mourning/Black Friday
Megadeth - The Conjuring
Megadeth - Holy Wars
Megadeth - Hangar 18
Megadeth - Five Magics

Hmm...think I'm starting to see a pattern...

Agalloch-In The Shadow Of Our Pale Companion(right after the sweep, towards the end) ridiculous amount of *chills* every time I hear it
Pantera-Domination
Carcass-Enbodiment
Black Label Society-Bridge To Cross
Megadeth-High Speed Dirt
Steve Vai-For the Love of God
Lamb of God-Redneck
Led Zeppelin-Song Remains The Same
Opeth-Leper Affinity
Arch Enemy-Heart of Darkness
All That Remains-The Weak Willed
Death-Crystal Mountain(fucking love Symbolic)
