I just have to ask if there is anyone out there who shares the same opinion as me...

IMO the moment when the mid-paced part with the kinda "whispering" vocals at 2:43 before the end
(Fell a tremor in the pillars of the senses
Cursed victim of a distance near
The first dreams - the clearest vision)
changes into the slower part with the female vocals (aimlessly...)
is one of the best if not THE best DT moment EVER. This guitar descending along with the snare drum. Have to listen to it again and again every time!

did you mean to add a "guess-the-song" game or did you simply forget to mention it was insanity's crescendo you were referring to? :p

however, as much as i do second the opinion that "felt a tremor in the pillar of the senses" is one of the best dt moment ever, my personal first prize goes out to "my soul set free in summerland" and the guitarwork that follows, somewhere around minute number 6 of shadow duet, followed at a close distance by the whole "i could never tell if your touch was deeper than skin" on projector's on your time.

rahvin.

this part in to a bitter halt where he sings clear "silence fell...brought to a bitter halt" thats for me the greatest part in music ever not only for DT
since I`ve heard that song its my alltime favorite
and its followed by on your time,my second alltime darktranquillity fave
with his different speed and the vocals changing all the time from clear to death-style , so great so godly just unbelievable " I never known if there was enough time..."

but I think they will never make any songs like that thats sad

yes solefad, i think in that song we can also see the best use of the clean/brutal voice alteration indeed! (Along with ..Of Melancholy Burning, end of female vocals/start of growls)

thanks but as mikael is one of the best singers of the world in clean/agressive voice he could do things like that more often IMO

the different vocals are the best reason for me to put projector on number one of my favorite albums

and in... of melancholy burning these part where they sing a little bit together thats also so great ahhhhhh

Though I agree in general, I must admit that I really feel that the agressive vocals should be at least the 80% of all the vox in the DT CDs. Projector ranks high for me as well, I think it's one of the most under-rated CDs of the past decade, but still, I must admit that I was rather enstraged to listen to all these clean vocals there and I would prefer it if it was mostly brutal. I think I enjoy more the contrast of the brutal VS female, as in Insanity's Crescendo...

ok ok I also find it better with this 80/20 style,
projector has a litttle bit too much clean vocals,f.e. there in or auctioned are great songs but not the best but rrecard,to a bitter ahlt, never novas, doberman and the unbelievable on your time put this disc on the top for me on the cost of some not so great but good songs
haven with some clean vocals would be great to
but insanity crescendo is the ideal example for a mix of brutality and melodies

My favorites include (but are not limited to the ones mentioned here):

-The ending of Hedon (the feeling in Mikael's vocals is so concrete)
-The ending of A Bolt of Blazing Gold (so damn beautiful)
-The ending of Nether Novas (crushing!)

On the other hand, I have never been that fond of On Your Time - it is an okay song, but every time I hear someone calling it the best of Projector I'm amazed. The same goes for Tongues. Well, tastes, once again...

-Villain (who likes endings)

"The ending of Nether Novas (crushing!) "

Yes!!!...That is the perfect ending to one of my favorite D.T songs...not many people seem to like it all that much.

Also,I love the bit,in ...Of melacholy burning, when the female vocals are just ending, she is holding a high pitch note and at the same time Mikael comes in with his growl...Ahhh..I love it

and yes, on your time is among my all-time (duh) faves. at first i thought it was only me (typical), but then i found out there's others out there that find it pretty good indeed. anyone here thinking the same?

The moment I hit the "submit" -button I knew this would come... :bah:

And what does "bleating" mean? I'm too lazy to check it up on a dictionary...
