Greeno: American Heartbreak & D Generation?

I've only hard a couple AH tracks, not enough to make a judgment... plus to be honest I can't remember what they sounded like at the moment. :)

However.... D Gen is fucking great!! They are a bit of a junkie rock/punk band. But don't let that deter you from checking them out. My fav D Gen albums are the self titled and No Lunch, both are worth your time. The singer (Jess Malin) is now a solo artist, he now sounds like Ryan Adams, heavy on the acoustic song writing. I have some live D Gen videos from some TV show on VHS around here somewhere. Good band, check them out. They will fill your RnR cravings.

If you pick up an AH album let me know how they are.

Jess Malin used to have a punk club here in NY called Coney Island High... but i guess too much problems caused him to close it down.. but D Gen are a great punk band that never got its due...

I'm not going punk. I've got burnt out on metal, I suppose.
I'm just checking out other things....

Nothing wrong with that. I get burnt on different stuff all the time. I take a break and switch to a different style until I'm burnt on that and then switch again. That's the great thing about music, get bored just pop in something else.

I'm getting back into an 80's underground metal thing right now... lots of Savage Grace, Dr Mastermind and shit like that. Before that it was all RnR... Silvertide and the new Backyard Babies.

Thanks for the AH Sixx! Can't wait to hear it. I should have a bunch of stuff burnt and in the mail to you on Monday. Can't wait to see what you think about the Backyard Babies.

Greeno. I'm into what I'd like to call back to basics, stripped down, no frills rock...
I don't know if you'd call it punk, hard core, garage rock, ect. Just stuff that is a band playing loud & rockin'. That's what I like about Silvertide, The Hellacopters, The Datsuns, Gluecifer, ect.
