NY's Grey Skies Fallen Set to Release 3rd and Most Diverse Album in 2005
New York metal band Grey Skies Fallen is currently putting the finishing touches on their first album in over three years. The album will be entitled Two Way Mirror. The third release will once again be a self-financed recording, and will consist of seven new songs. This album promises to be the most diverse Grey Skies Fallen record to date. This time around, the band focused on their lighter side, while at the same time incorporating the heavy, unrelenting power fans have come to expect from them.
The songs that make up Two Way Mirror were written over the three-year time span that the band refers to as "The Lost Years". During that period, the band saw many lineup and style changes. Grey Skies Fallen also disbanded on two occasions. Cooler heads prevailed in late-2004, and the band was reformed, this time with co-founder, guitarist Joe D'angelo back in the fold.
Grey Skies Fallen are also in writing mode for an upcoming album to be released in late 2006. The album will feature the darker, heavier side of the band, which could be found on 2002's Tomorrow's in Doubt. The band prides themselves on their diversity, and diversity is what you will find on the next two albums.
The official Grey Skies Fallen website has been re-done from the ground up, and contains an in-depth band history, day-by-day recording journals, free MP3s from all releases, and will soon feature GSF wallpapers as well as an interactive fan forum. Visit www.greyskiesfallen.com to get hooked up.
Two Way Mirror will be unleashed this fall, and will be available for purchase on the band's website. Check the site in the coming weeks for samples from each song, as well as a full-length song.
Grey Skies Fallen is now officially back, and this time, they plan on staying.
