SUPER HAPPY STORY TIME LAND
Starting out in early 07 in a snowed out basement, Super Happy Story Time Land have seen few changes in their lineups with the 2 original members, Will Armacost (drummer/backing vox) and Ryan Fontana (guitar/sings like a yam) remaining true. Now with new lead vocalist Mario Hefledinger and bassist Aaron Williams, this 4 piece has established themselves in the Seattle metal scene, as well as up and down the west coast of the United States of Awesome. with a vast line of merch, as well as 3 eps, multiple DIY tours stretching through well over half the United States and airtime with several west coast radio stations in under 2 years, SHSTL is a band with no end in sight with their DIY lifestyle of cigarettes, energy drinks, an unrivaled odor and too many guys in 1 van.
In the last year they have played with national headlining bands such as Necrophagist, Dying Fetus. SHSTL has spent countless hours perfecting there over all sound. While one would not be surprised to hear them follow a band like Cattle Decapitation or Arsis on a compilation cd, seeing them in the same show is always a head turner. With more energy and leg hair than San Francisco gay day parade, there stage presence is always a treat. coupled with the oh so sweet transition between melodic clean jazz runs to shit-in-yer-britches distortion and speed, and their ability to motivate a room with sarcastic gang vocals or stuffed catfish, this band has accurately been described as "Cannibal Corpse spends a day at Disney Land."
Super Happy Story Time Land is basically a bottle of hair, stink, and awesome. With there storyboard illustrations for each song, to their array of onstage props, facial hair, and all-too-short "party shorts," their shows are never easily forgotten.
