Got a 4 pack of them today to see if those widget things actually work and preserve that fabled perfect guinness head.

And goddamn it does it aswell.
Maybe a tad watered down, but lovely none the less

A pleasant surprise!

What's everyone's drink of choice tonight also?

The first time I had bottled Guinness, the widget thing scared the shit out of me because I thought somehow I dropped something (what the fuck is it, the lid?!?!!!) into my beer and I was gonna choke on it. Then I read the side of the bottle and was like "oh, spray paint technology!".

I don't know what I'm having tonight, depends if we get a band tab or not.

aha
yeah i my bands bass player was telling me about it, so i was like "fuck i gotta pick some of that shit up."

and couldnt you hear it fucking banging about in the bottom of the can?

can`t decide between pabst blue ribbon, or lablatts blue. hmmm

blue is on sale for $30 a case. so i think i will get that.

regardless, i will be tying one on fa sho!!!

havent tried blue ribbon. im usually on guinness and newcastle brown ale when im out and about
ill make a point to try it mebbe

drinking a CArlsberg right now but Guinness draught tastes so watered down to me. If it wasn't for that damn it would be good.

I like Light beer cuz I gotta look out for my girlish figure :D

I'm skinny, but with a beer gut...hahaha! I'm desperately wanting to change that. I can give up any food I want, but I love my beer.

My favorite is Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. American beers are redeeming themselves through microbrews. \m/

It's 8am, but the plan for this evening is some VO canadian whiskey - maybe some golden spike hefeweizen... :kickass:

I've got about 10 of the Sierra Nevada Anniversary Ale's leftover from my birthday, ha.

Awesome!

They have become quite the large/successful microbrewery, but I LOVE their beer.

Around the holidays they come out with the "Celebration Ale", which is damn tasty. They also have "Bigfoot Ale" which is 10% or something. Hehehe.

I need to go back to Belgium. I had some damn tasty beer there.

Aye, I'm looking forward to my trip to germany next year, oh lawddd the German beer :OMG:

Anyone tried Wailua Wheat beer from The Kona Brewing Company? It's kind of a hefeweizen brewed with passion fruit, which actually doesn't add any nasty sweetness or strange fruitiness to it...it just kind of skews the overall flavor in a very pleasing way. Very smooth, very delicious and wheaty, and it's one of the rare beers that tastes great cold and still nearly as good when it's been sitting on the table a while and has warmed up closer to room temperature. Highly recommended! I think you can only get it in Hawaii and on the west coast though, and I believe they're only brewing it through September...

don't like Guiness, not enough alcohol, and it tastes like cold coffee.

Give me a good trappist beer anytime over that, like a Rochefort 10, or a Chimay blue.

Guinness is my choice. Can taste a difference between the American made and the real imported stuff though. Not to mention it's seriously healthy for ya...no joke.

I don't like many light beers. Certainly nothing American. Some of the darker Sam Adams are good!

I did one time have a great swig of Honey Meade mixed with Jamesons. It was amazing, I need to make that myself one of these days.

Anyone had the Jeckyl and Hyde liquor that came out recently? It really isn't that well known but I really enjoyed it.
