Few names in rock and metal have the kind of power and prestige that Slash commands. Now the top-hatted axe man has been tapping his passionate fanbase to film his live events and capture the Slash experience, with the help of the Cinebody app and user-generated content. Slash didn't want the typical glossy production that almost every rock band puts out. Instead, he wanted his videos to mirror his innovative guitar licks and songwriting, getting unique concert footage that only his true fans could capture. And pulling it off was actually a lot easier than your average production, using the shot lists and real-time feedback the Cinebody app provides. Slash did a test-drive of Cinebody at 2018 Hollywood Palladium show with his band, SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS, and was blown away with the results. He kicked off the initiative with social posts asking fans to "Create With Slash" and film their experiences using the Cinebody app. With the help of acclaimed director Clifton Collins alongside the fan footage, Slash got the kind of wild authentic footage few film crews ever get. From a dude throwing devil horns in his ride on the way to the show, to fans rocking out during SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS' live concert, this was just what Slash was looking for. And after seeing the results, Slash had no hesitation in rolling out the Cinebody "Create With Slash" video campaign for the rest of his phenomenal 2019 "Living The Dream" world tour. "It was great to involve the fans to make this video," Slash told Rolling Stone in November 2018. "They did an awesome job! Having Clifton shoot, as well as, edit it all together was just perfect." "Getting down there in the heat of the concert, the intimate car journeys, mixing it up with other fans, seeing it through their eyes… that's the kind of access that was impossible to capture until Cinebody came along," added Jeff Varner, a partner of Revelation Management Group. "It's priceless footage, and Slash loved it." However, it wasn't just the finished product that swayed Slash; it was also the fan engagement that sealed the deal. The average interaction with the videos on Facebook was impressive — 2.2k likes, 162 comments, 411 shares, and 58.6k views. Twitter and Instagram posts were just as popular, and that's no surprise. With almost 1,000 video contributors from around the world, fans were even more hyped to spread the footage because they were in it. And that is also a key reason Cinebody continues to be the go-to way of filming for Slash. The U.S. leg of SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS world tour will be rocking North America until August 13, concluding at the Hard Rock in Orlando, Florida. Once again, fans from all across the nation will be capturing all the live action with the Cinebody app.
