Well to put it simply I am starting to doubt my ears 
I have really been fighting to find the right mic placement and what not on my 5150 / Marshall cab combo. I would just like to hear a solo guitar playing a rhythm track.
I was wondering if any of you could provide so raw un-eq'd single 5150 tracks. I am really fighting getting a guitar tone. At least I think i am. I just want to use it as a refrence when dialing in the amp and setting mic position.
I really just want to see if what I am getting is reasonable. I just cant find something that once its in a mix really screams and has balls.
I know its never a good idea to replicate tones and I know I should use my own ears, but I think I find something I like then I go put it in a mix and it just doesn't seem to have any balls. I have been fighting for 3 days with GodDamn Guitars DI's and I cant seem to really find something I like. It just seams so weak when its on its own
Would any of you be willing to provide a mono wave file of a 5150 with a 57 on it?
