Hi!
Any of you guyes tried the LinMB instead of the C4 with the Andy Sneap-settings on guitar? What do you think? Shure uses moore CPU...

That's why I use Samplitude wich has a very good working Automatic Latency Delay...

Anyways, from what I understand, using phase-linear stuff would be better if your CPU can handle it, right?

Apparently Logic has an updated delay compensation in the latest version, haven't gotten that one yet tho.

Well yeah it should be, don't know how big a difference it actually makes tho, and with the amount of CPU it snatches i don't think it's worth it, sure i use the phase linear stuff when i master but not when mixing.

Phasecoherency is in general good for (stereo)tracks with roomacoustics in it (drum overhead & stuff).

Anyway, duplicate your guitartrack, put a C4 on one and a LMB on the other, same settings etc.

Switch between them and listen/decide. And let us know. ;)

Isn't LinMB a Linear Phase Eq ? If so, then it's not the same as C4, which is a dynamic multiband compressor. Using the C4 on the guitar is to keep the low mids (well, call them what you like... around 200Hz) in control, only taming the annoying parts in this area if set right. It's more natural than just an Eq.
