Has anyone but Gus got one/ know where to get one? The original vendor is now defunct with no way to contact the guy that makes them; I found another place to buy them, but it would be hard, not to mention expensive, to ship because it comes from a foreign European country. I think the place I found might be the only place to get them and I don't know how many they have so I would be reluctant to share the website until I get one myself, lest the stock deplete.

Point is, does anyone know a better place to get one, preferably in the UK or USA?

I'm talking about the strap Gus is seen with here, with the cross.

Duuuude, this place is so dead it's not even funny.
But yeh, the first one, with the cross, is pretty radical, and I'm sorry to say but I have no idea where to find it.

Pretty dead, huh?

I can't remember where I found the top strap, but I guess I'll share it soon as I find it again. I seem to have lost the website, I think it was a Swedish music shop on one of these archived pages. Shame I can't find a cheaper way to buy it though. I'm going to buy one of the second strap instead. I've seen Zakk Wylde use that second one too.

1- The straps from Red Monkey are custom made for Gus. They WILL NOT make you one just like it. (Custom straps from RMD run upwards of 300-600.

2- The strap in your link is not the same strap Gus uses. The one Gus uses is a "croco" specialty leather with studs. Not eyelets.

A friend of mine had a custom strap made by Matt Hotchkiss at http://flyingvleatheracc.com. He seems pretty happy with it and it didn't cost a fortune.

I'm not affiliated with them, but I've seen their work on Facebook.

1- That's a shame. Well, money can buy everything, but I sure as hell don't want to spend as much as it would take to procure one.

2- I see. I didn't even notice the difference. Still, I'm getting one. I've got the Ltd Gus 600 FR and it's really neck heavy, I figured a thick leather strap would stop it from neck diving.

I hear ya.. I have 6 of the Gus Random star models and they are all neck heavy :/. Probably why the Rockart is my fave.

It's still a cool strap nonetheless. Post pics when you get it!
