Obviously big shoes to fill, but I don't think it was horrible. The guys got turrets and is a little too much like Adam Lambert but he's got some fans already.

one thing i don't get is why somebody who listens (almost) exclusively to metal would want to compete in a tv show about mainstream music, and especially one that doesn't involve punching Enrique Iglesias fans in the nads.

Kid just wanted to show off his range. Not horrible, but I am sure hes not a Judas Priest fan.

As for the backing ... it IS a band. Endorsed by Line 6 and they play Variax Guitars and Basses. Drums are a Roland V-Kit

That bands headed by Ricky Minor. I just dont think they're suited for metal/rock music.

Nah I think the guy listens to metal, he's just kind of a tool
