Atlantas Halcyon Way has been confirmed as the headliner for the Retroactive Records-sponsored North Stage on Saturday night at Rocklahoma 2009. In support of their debut album, A Manifesto For Domination, which was released on November 25, 2008 via Nightmare Records, and fresh off an appearance at Nightmare Metalfest II, this will mark Halcyon Ways second appearance at Rocklahoma.
Halcyon Ways debut record A Manifesto For Domination was produced by guitarist Jon Bodan with assistance from James Murphy (Testament, Death) and was mixed by Lasse Lammert (Alestorm). James Murphy also mastered the album.
Halcyon Way have performed live with notable acts such as Symphony X, Kamelot, Strapping Young Lad, Helloween, Doro Pesch, Queensryche, and many others. Their sound is best described as progressive & melodic metal, like Megadeth meets Dio and Fates Warning, with vocal harmonies reminiscent of Kings X or Galactic Cowboys.
