According to Billboard, HALESTORM's "Uncomfortable" has landed at the top of Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs airplay chart. It's the band's fourth No. 1, and it ties HALESTORM with THE PRETTY RECKLESS for the most chart toppers by a female-fronted act. It's also the first No. 1 by a woman or woman-led act on Mainstream Rock Songs since THE PRETTY RECKLESS made it to the top with "Take Me Down" in November 2016. HALESTORM's previous No. 1 songs are "Freak Like Me", "Apocalyptic" and "Amen". Frontwoman Lzzy Hale told ABC Radio that the musical arrangement of "Uncomfortable" originally made the song difficult to sing. "I ended up doing probably the fastest verse I've ever written for myself and the most, I guess, complicated melodic riffing in the chorus that I've really ever done," she said. "Then I realized at the end of it, 'Man, if everybody likes this, I'm gonna have to do this every night.'" "Uncomfortable" was the first single from HALESTORM's fourth album, "Vicious", which was released on July 27 via Atlantic. The disc was recorded last year at Nashville, Tennesse's Rock Falcon recording studio with producer Nick Raskulinecz. Raskulinecz is an acclaimed producer who has previously worked with RUSH, KORN, ALICE IN CHAINS and DEFTONES, in addition to having produced HALESTORM's third covers EP, "ReAniMate 3.0: The CoVeRs eP", which came out in January 2017.
