Lzzy Hale has thanked HALESTORM's fans for their support in the 10 years since the release of the band's self-titled debut album. Issued on April 28, 2009, the LP was produced by Howard Benson (MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, P.O.D.) and featured the single "I Get Off". HALESTORM went on to release three additional studio albums, becoming a mainstay on rock radio. Earlier today, Lzzy took to her Instagram to write: "Ten years ago today our first album [self-titled]on @atlanticrecords was released! It was years and years of uphill and sideways battles to get the chance to introduce ourselves to the world. It blows my mind how far we've come, and that we are still climbing!Thank you so much to every DJ of Every radio station who gave us a spin, to Every promoter and band who welcomed us onto their tour and to every person who bought tickets to see us and purchased our music. Thank you to the loud mouths who told people about our show or brought their friends. And thank you to our amazing Halestorm team, mgt, booking, biz mgt, a&r, radio, promo and marketing etc. All of you have been by our side through the constant evolution of the business and risked so much to hold the door ajar for us, giving us the opportunity to prove ourselves. We are still those Four kids from Pennsylvania, but now, ten years later, we are out here living our dream. Every single one of you that we've met or raised our horns with over the past decade have enabled us to grow and do what we love every day! We love you so much! Here's to the next decade! Rock Forward! -Lzzy" HALESTORM guitarist Joe Hottinger recently said that the band is assembling a "special package" to celebrate the tenth anniversary of "Halestorm". He told the Waterloo, Iowa radio station KFMW Rock 108: "Lzzy and I just went through all these demos we made from 2005 to 2008 when we were making that first record. I had forgotten all about them. It's like hearing these songs for the first time again. They weren't terrible. There's a reason they didn't make the first record. The thing was there; the magic was there, that we fight for even today. I kind of realized that we're doing what we've always done. We're lucky. I get to do what I love with the people I love and travel the world doing it. What more could you ask for in a life? That's what we were doing back when we were playing bars around Pennsylvania. Just doing what we love with people we love. It was on a much smaller scale. But what a trip. I think we're going around the world twice this year. We end in Australia and Japan again before the end of the year. It's awesome. It's tiring, but awesome." HALESTORM's month-long North American tour kicked off April 12 at Ladson, South Carolina's 98 Rockfest and runs through Columbus, Ohio's Sonic Temple, with dates across the continent, including a stop at Mexico City's Domination festival in early May.
