knac.com reports a RUMOR that there is to be a "surprise act" as part of the half time show during the superbowl.....All I can say is that if the MIGHTY VAN HALEN should happen to perform I will do nothing short of soiling and abandoning my linens, running out in to the cold winter's day stark naked and shouting WHYYYYYYYYYYYY CAN'T THIS BE LOOOOOOOOOOVE to the top of my lungs until I am sedated, bound and hauled away.
Fingers crossed...

.............the sad thing is.....i can picture that......

I have a feeling it will be Aerosupply again. I doubt it will be Van Halen. After seeing Hagar on the Toby Keith Superbowl Bash, all I can say is Sammy was "tanked." I have a feeling that Hagar's drinking & pot smokin' will probably not go over well with the Van Halens. One thing Hagar has going for him, he looked the best he has ever looked, since like '96. He's no Vince Neil.

heh...heh....Aerosupply..

Seriously, if Hagar & Anthony will be there it could be just those two with Joe Perry & Steven Tyler... I'm thinking possibly with Metallica. If you recall Hagar had members of Metallica jam with him on his last tour. I believe they did some old Montrose tracks.

There's a nice visual! :D

I think you're in a dream world there Ted. You know it will end up being Pink or one of the Jacksons or some shit like that.

I think it will be Grim Reaper...... "See you in hell Houston!!!!!"

well, shit the bed...it didn't happen at all. I give up. The Van Halens have screwed me for the last time. Well, at least until something new comes out. I'm a lot like Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin to show up....I never lose hope. Sorry to waste everyone's time....maybe next year....

hope you didnt lose too much money on that game sixx-wernt you rooting for the panthers?

No, I didn't just lost some "pride." I don't gamble, so I can't lose.
The "better" team did come out with a win. It was a great game.
I wish they would do away with the gimmicky halftime show though.
That detracts from the event as a whole....

not gamblings a good idea.i do gamble, but only on major sporting events, and then its only a few dollars.
didnt see the game, but i read the report in the paper.it sounded like a killer game of football.
do you not feel that an event that big needs the half time entertainment thing then?i would think it would just add to the whole affair.do they really suck so bad?hey-didnt you get to see one of janet jacksons fun bags on this one?almost as good as the game, surely? :headbang: :D

I stopped watching football bout 10 years ago, it's become to slick and produced. Gone are the days of down and dirty games played in the mud, snow, rain or subfreezing temps... it's all glitz and glam now. Maybe I just got bored with it, I don't know, but football just isn't the same as when I was growing up.

These days the only sports I follow is baseball.
