It's rising? I'll admit I miss a lot living in the South Bay,
but it doesn't seem like it's rising. What's going on?
My Perception:
With Stone Omni and One Step Beyond closed,
and the Maritime last year....there's only a couple joints
left: Slims, Fillmore, Warfield. The Pound only if the most
severe shitholes on the bay can be included.
Sure Death Angel has pseudo-reunited and most
definitely Vio-Lence is back, but the bay area style really
isn't being kept alive by many bands anymore.
And Vio-Lence is not Phil Demmel's priority. Or at least,
he used to say in the press it wasn't. Sadus did a show or
two which is cool. Billy Steel is a bonehead but at least
metal is on FM Radio locally during a reasonable hour.
Like I said, I live under a rock in San Jose so maybe I
miss what's really going on.
What's the info?
