Halloween Night with Vio-Lence

This is the shit I have to put up with in the LA Scene:

LA Guns and Danzig. :(

OMG! I feel sorry for you! No one should have to sit through that garbage! I saw Danzig on Ozzfest several years ago (before it was the nu-metal fest) and Danzig was the worst! He sounded like crap!

As for LA Guns...never saw them..never wanted to..

I definetly sympathize!

I 've been doing their Lights, so I'm bias, their always brilliant, Killer Show, Sean came out as a Devil, the band was well recieved, to a pretty packed crowd. They pulled out Gutter Sluts
which they have not played live in like forever. Along with all the other most classic musts. Robb Flynn was in attendance, & everyone was in a great mood. VIO-LENCE was most excited to
play some other shows coming up in December(hint).........& can hardly wait to destroy some unsuspecting cities........Also coming up is their re-lease of their classic Eternal Nightmare.....you can stop bidding so high on eBAY.......

well, it won't be the exact eternal nightmare, it will have extras on it so you know people will keep bidding to get the original. I will be happy with the new version.

So psyched for the vegas show with testament and halford.

Hey Valofvalhalla last time I looked at a map LA and Frisco were only a few hours drive away from each other : )
If I lived that close to where VIOLENCE was playing NOTHING would stop me from going!!!
You think you got it bad in LA? Try living out here on the east coast! I gotta hop a flight to catch anything worthy.
All I have heard about in recent months is:
"Violence is playing"...."Sadus is playing"....Exodus is playing"...."Dark Angel is playing".......Violence is playing AGAIN"........"Testament is playing".......Violence is playing yet AGAIN!" FUCK ME! All we get out here is a constant rotation of the same crap like shitfly, in flames, gwar, cannibal corpse, misfits, and so many other bands I could careless to see.
Man I miss the old days : (

The Bay Area's rising again, if I lived on the East Coast, I'd move here just for the wheather, throw in the music & it's a given.............

It's rising? I'll admit I miss a lot living in the South Bay,
but it doesn't seem like it's rising. What's going on?
My Perception:
With Stone Omni and One Step Beyond closed,
and the Maritime last year....there's only a couple joints
left: Slims, Fillmore, Warfield. The Pound only if the most
severe shitholes on the bay can be included.
Sure Death Angel has pseudo-reunited and most
definitely Vio-Lence is back, but the bay area style really
isn't being kept alive by many bands anymore.
And Vio-Lence is not Phil Demmel's priority. Or at least,
he used to say in the press it wasn't. Sadus did a show or
two which is cool. Billy Steel is a bonehead but at least
metal is on FM Radio locally during a reasonable hour.
Like I said, I live under a rock in San Jose so maybe I
miss what's really going on.

What's the info?

From where I stand, the bay area has a lot going on as of the past several months. The east coast BLOWS HARD for metal as I posted above.
Yeah Deadly Embrace, Ive been thinking more and more about moving out west, but most likely it would be Arizona or Nevada, rather than California. I gotta check out my professional options out there first though. The weather and cost of living are very inviting.....the scorpions, tarantulas and snakes are not LOL

Try 8 hours drive. Don't like flying either. I own my own business and lately things haven't coincided. :( But, alas, no prb. I'm sure Testament will be coming to LA.

You miss the old days. Sheeet. What the fuck happened with the metal scene anyway? The last good show I went to was Judas Priest with Anthrax. Reading what you got for shows doesn't make me feel so bad. :)
