Here's BLIND GUARDIAN mainman Hansi Kürsch with an update on the new album:

"Hello my friends, although time keeps on ticking quickly, things go very well in the Guardian camp. To be more precise: we are still on schedule and even though everyone is totally busy and concentrated, the atmosphere is very lively and still relaxed to a certain extent. :) The material for the [European] single will be accomplished at the end of November. To make that happen, this particular stuff will get most of our attention for the next 4 weeks. Everyone is already involved in the recording process and we are really excited about the album΄s progression. It is too early to say when we will be finished exactly, but I would say a worldwide release in the first half of 2006 is very realistic. Things look (sound - as well) very promising. At the moment we are also getting deeper into details such as album title, cover, etc... So, we are about to scratch the most important phase of the recording session and we do not intend to leave you out ... Please, let us work on it a little longer, so we can fix things technically. You will be provided with footage, that is for sure."

The suspense is killing me :yell:

You have the Savage Circus cd yet? That'll ease your wait for a bit. Or maybe it'll just make you want for more but it rules anyway.

I really hope BG strips down their sound a bit, especially in the vocal department. I think the falsetto choir onslaught was waaay overused in ANATO.

aah indeed, i cant wait for it!! BG RULES!!

now, i LOOVVEEE thomen. being i drummer, he is one of my favorites.

but, cmon now, the new cd is 25 fuckin dollars and 50 cents. thats the cheapest there is, it goes from that up to 32 dollars. im curious to why its so god damned expensive.

back to blind guardian, they are my 2nd favorite band after Maiden, and they fuckin rule. im so excited for this new album, i really wanna hear which road they take.

:zombie:
Is that an import? I paid "only" 18 euros for it so it shouldn't be mega-expensive by default.

I love ANATO to me a superior album and one of the best in that year. I have SC album on my wishlist, still hadn't found it at a reasonable price.

I don't think that would happen, that was the exact reason why Thomen left the band, after all...
He stated a few times how he got tired of "more vocals, more guitars" approach and wanted to do more straightforward, early BG like stuff, which of course he does now with SC.

I grabbed the Savage Circus CD after reading this thread.. wow.. I thought I was listening to what BG _SHOULD_ have done after Nightfall.. awesome album!

Exactly, but I wouldn't complain about a "more guitars" approach on the next record. Rythm guitars that is :D
I still love ANATO and everything they've done so far, but I'm not sure they can go further in that direction... can they?
