already got my first lesson for the rest of the new year - apparently, never get involved with chicks 5 years older OR younger than you, even if they look and seemingly act your age. (I'm 23, so that only really applies to my age and younger people)
At present, there is a significant amount of grudge behind this admittedly vague notion, roughly as much as there's currently alcohol in my veins.
I hope everyone else's new year's eve went better.
