Hard Rock Mix

Thanks guys!!! Yeah, I seem to have an ongoing problem with snare levels and I cant figure out why, exactly... in my room on the nearfields, it sounds fairly blended and uniform with everything else, but as soon as I listen on something else.... I can totally hear what you guys are saying, but with practically every mix I do.
The guitars were all done on my fernandes ravelle deluxe baritone with dual emg 81s > podxtpro (2 different amp models) quad tracked. The bass is the ravelle again with a pitch shift plug-in, some eq and compression.
I would LOOOOOOOOOVE to get vocals on this one!!! Any takers?

Thanks man :kickass: I programmed the drums using Addictive Drums... I'm not sure which particular combination I used but I can have a look and post back with the details if you'd like.
Cheers!!!

I know what you mean and I tried to go for a darker/deeper snare at first but found that I was struggling to pull it off using AD. I really should start looking into other sample replacement programs / methods.
Thanks, by the way!!!
I wasn't sure if this would get any love on the sneap forum since most of the mixes I hear on here are djent, metalcore, deathcore, death metal, black?metal, etc.... more extreme styles of rock/metal.
I truly and really appreciate the responses, guys!!!

the mix sounds huge. although the guitar tone is much to thick for hardrock! also the music doesn't sound like hardrock. but otherwise really good. and i'm digging the snare

Ah cheers man!!! I wasn't sure what genre this would fit in... it didn't strike me as metal but then again, there are no vocals so that could be a defining factor I suppose.
I'm stoked you dig it man. I really didn't expect many people to since it isn't teh brootalz, by the way... if not hard rock... what sort would you say it sounds like? just wondering.
 thanks again guys!!!
