on the road again...

I'll be in the Enfield, CT and Springfield, MA area for about a month and am needing to know where the good metal clubs are. I know there's Toads (or Froggies or something to that affect - anyone know the website?) and the Webster Theater in Hartford, but what else is near?

Anyone know their Fates history? I wouldn't mind driving around Hartford (I believe the band started in this area) checking out a bit of Fates history.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to da'CUT. :headbang:

As for venues, I've never been to Toad's Place (if it's still called that).

The http://www.webstertheater.com/ is in Hartford. It's pretty shitty (the sound, the area, the parking, the inside....).

If you're in Enfield, PLEASE stop at Music Outlet. I always walk out with >3 awesome used CDs. Best metal shop in CT.

As for Fates Warning, I never thought to look into where they where in CT. I believe the first album was recorded at The Gallery in East Hartford.http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF-8&q=the+gallery&near=East+Hartford,+CT&fb=1&cid=41777261,-72608858,6564437181169233818&li=lmd&z=14&t=m

Good luck and post back with any interesting findings.:headbang:

p1drift: I have 4 huge tubs of metal CDs I'm about to put up on eBay. Since I'm right around the corner from the Music Outlet, email me < cammac301(at)hotmail.com > and I'll email you back the eBay auction link. I'm sure I'll have something you are looking for - plus you'll save on postage.

Jib: Toads is under renovation so evidently no shows there within the next month.

Sped: I'll be here till the beginning of July, then I'm off to criss-crossing MA (contracting for National Grid) for about 6 months. Only thing I see of interest at Webster is Symphony X, but I won't be here when they come to town. When I get to the Worcester area, I'm definitely going to hit up The Palladium. BTW - Anyone have Matt Coe's email?

Shades: Bring the 411 on! I see PD has a new album out. Who do I contact to buy it? I checked the PD website and (unless I'm blind), I did not see any ways to order said album.

I live right in that area- and there are a TON of killer shows coming up. Please shoot me a PM and I'll be more than happy to show you around.

I also agree with the Music Outlet- that's the ONLY place I buy my music. They have (in stock) everything from After Forever to Slayer to Dimmu to Type O Negative and Beyond Twilight... You name it, they have it... and if they don't they usually get it in in less than a week.
