Not sure if anyone has posted about her this year but I just got her CD from Frontiers and it is killer. Issa is a Norwegian female vocalist who has quite a powerful band behind her featuring Uli Kusch (Helloween, Masterplan, Gamma Ray) on drums, Nobby Noberg (Saint Deamon, Dionysus, Nation) on bass and Peter Huss (Singery, Shining) on guitar. This is very catchy pop laden hard rock music and the debut "Sign of Angels" is quickly becoming one of my favorite albums of the year. I feel Issa would make a great addition to ProgPower. It amazes me that a band like this is not blowing up all over US radio right now due to the way it sounds. I played the CD for two female friends since having it whom are not really fans of hard rock or metal and they both loved it and are looking to buy the album now. I guarantee if given the right exposure this band could spread like wild fire.

Don't think she's a good fit for Progpower, but I do love the album. It's not blowing up on radio simply because it's on Frontiers. But I see no reason why she couldn't move on to a career in the US given her looks and voice. Unfortunately, they'd probably have her doing dance pop like Kylie Minogue. I'd say that's a real enough possibility that we should probably treasure this album. Might be the only rock album we get out of her.

I think she's also on the Illusion Suite album in a couple of tracks.

Good post, adaher. I agree wholeheartedly. Not a fit for PP, and sadly that is the most likely reality for her to see any success in the States. She does have quite a good voice, though, which is nice.
