Polish blackened death metal band, Hate, will release their new album, Bellum Regiis, on May 2 via Metal Blade Records. The follow-up to Rugia was produced by David Castillo (Candlemass, Carcass, Dark Tranquillity, Katatonia) at Gröndahl Studios.

Across nine songs, Hate delves into questions about our true nature: Are we most authentic when we possess power or when we rebel against it? The album addresses these themes through references to history and mythology, particularly Slavic and Greek.

The album’s first single, “Iphigenia”, will be released on March 25. A teaser for the track’s music video can be found below.
